  • ABOUT EMILY

    Once I found the power of exercise I haven't ever let it go.

    I grew up in Marblehead, MA, 20 miles north of Boston and love this great city. After graduating from Tufts University I went to work at Natural Health Magazine, pairing my love of fitness with days full of health related conversations. I packed my bag and ran from the office to the nearest gym to blow off some steam, strengthening my body and mind (ball slams, plyo jumps, burpees...). As my career grew into global marketing and creative services, life demands grew alongside it. I honed in my training and set goals to challenge myself- Boston's Run to Remember Half Marathon, Tufts 10K for Women (numerous years) and a momentous climb from hut to hut across Mount Blanc from Switzerland to Italy.

    When my daughter arrived, my corporate life halted and fitness stepped up. Always a learner, I found the very best education available and became certified through the National Academy of Sports Medicine. I continued my certifications through TRX Suspension and TRX Functional Training along with NASM's Women's Fitness Specialty course. I continue to study and learn to better serve you and keep current with my methodologies- ask me about Animal Flow and core training.

     

    Most importantly, I practice what I preach. Exercise and movement brings me so much joy and I look forward to sharing it with you.

    What do you need?

    Very little. It's amazing how much you can do with a rug, mat or hallway! I come with a pack of dumbbells, bands, TRX Suspension Trainer, Valslides, agility ladder and more!

    I welcome all of my clients to own a physio ball to use as our bench.

     

    My goal is to help you feel stronger, more flexible, increase muscle tone and come to enjoy exercise.
